romeo and juliet

It's really cool how juliet's dad doesn't want her to marry too young. Iy shows that he really cares about her.

I agree with you amelia... i think that i would be creeped out if i was asked to be married at age 13. im glad her father is a kind of protective father for not letting her get married, but i understand that back then when this story was taking place that it was alright to get married because parents set up the marriages...but i don't really understand why.

Amelia, I thought this was Kelly.
The purpose of women was different then. I am glad I did not live in that era.
Women did not do anything other than domestic work and have babies.

this helps me a lot ms.barbour. I knew that the women back then basically were to have children and keep house, and I didn't really know why, but now i know it was just expected of them. I would not like that one bit, i know that 13 is wayyy tooo young and if i was 13 and this was expected of me, i dont know wat i would do!
